LIVE WITH HU was born after my life shattered into broken pieces.

I followed a pre-written formula of life that’s been taught to me since I can remember: excel in school, get a stable job, marry someone secure, and set off to a “happily ever after” life. Everything collapsed when I turned 30. A long-term relationship that adhered to the expected formula lost its spark, and shortly after, I was laid off from my corporates job. In an instant, the 2 pillars of my identity were gone. And all I had left… was time. A lot of time, alone.

So I decided to use that space to figure out who I really was—outside of my titles. I began reconnecting with people that I trust and respect, and I spent hours journaling. Slowly it became a daily ritual - learn, absorb, reflect, process, and write it down. Funny enough, in the background of those moments, there was always a candlelight, quietly burning and filling up the space with scent and warmth.

Overtime I realized how much that recipe — conversation, reflection, and a little warmth — not only helped me heal, but also made me grow. And I thought: if this worked so well for me, maybe it can help others too.

With encouragement from my now-husband, I took a leap and started Live With Hu. It began with candles, not just as products, but as tools to guide conversation and reflection. At the core, our vision is to help every individual with a growth mindset to achieve the best version of themselves.
