This Sunday, we gathered once again in the quiet comfort of Centre Sanaaq. Five participants sat around the table, candles lit, pens moving—and something beautiful unfolded.
Our theme was Grace – Family & Heritage. We wrote about our earliest memories of home, the roles we played growing up, and the values—spoken and unspoken—that shaped how we show up today. As stories emerged, so did recognition.
There were moments of laughter, surprise, and even emotion that ran deep. For many of us, new friendships began to form—not through small talk, but through the kind of honest sharing that builds real connection. We discovered that while it’s easy to share the lighter parts of our story, it’s in the vulnerable ones that empathy lives.
One reflection stood out: as social beings, we often edit our truths—sharing only what feels “acceptable” or positive. But life isn’t always tidy. And when we allow ourselves (and others) to show up whole—messy, real, human—that’s when the real connection happens.
This practice continues to prove its value. And next week, our practice will move into intimacy. If you haven’t registered yet, you can sign up at lu.ma/livewithhu.
